We're a Fan of Kidfresh! Review and Giveaway

Disclosure: I received samples and promotional items to facilitate this review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I never thought it would happen but it did: my daughter is obsessed with chicken nuggets! In fact she's a connoisseur so when I was introduced to Kidfresh at the Mom Trends BTS Style event I knew she needed to give their all natural frozen meals a try.

Kidfresh just launched their Super Duper Chicken Nuggets last month, but we first gave their Wagon Wheels Mac & Cheese a try during our visit to Ohio. We were back at my old stomping grounds, Kroger (yes, I used to bag groceries!), and I saw Kidfresh in the freezer. Nia was drawn to the bright, happy packaging and of course, I was focused on the label. I noted that it was packed with veggies ("How?" I wondered) and didn't have the hard-to-pronounce ingredients I was used to growing up on conventional mac & cheese. This was really good stuff!

We took it back to my aunt's house to try and I have to say, Nia wasn't a fan. She gave it a couple bites then said she was done. I gave it a try as well, and I understood why - she really likes salty food, and it was a bit bland for her. I think next go-around I'll doctor it up a bit with herbs and spices, still keeping it healthy of course!

On our next try, we picked up the Super Duper Chicken Nuggets at last. They can be made in the microwave, but I rarely use it for full cooking and opted for the oven. I'm glad I did as they came out perfectly crispy! Nia kept asking when her nuggets were going to be ready and was a bit impatient waiting for them to cool down. I added some sweet potato fries on the side with ketchup and she was ready to dig in.

Take a look at her first taste (gotta love how she sticks her pinky out!):

Since finishing her nuggets she asks about them often and we're definitely adding them to our regular grocery list - I just hope they make it to BJs soon so we can buy in bulk because Mr. Lovebird and I enjoyed eating them too

If you're like me and also into labels, here's why they're a keeper:
  • Excellent Source of Protein
  • 11g Whole Grain per Serving
  • Pureed Veggies
