Win Big with Folgers' Jingle Contest!

I'm a proud 80s baby and if there's one part of my childhood that's stuck with me it's my obsession with 80s TV - I even remember the commercials vividly. Who can forget the classic jingle, "The best part of wakin' up is Folgers in your cup?" As a kid seeing how snuggly and warm the coffee drinkers appeared made me want to cozy up with my own cup and while it wasn't until I had my own kids that I became an avid coffee drinker, it's no wonder that I now drink Folgers. Mr. Lovebird and I wake up to it every morning (we're huge fans of the Black Silk blend!) so when I heard about their jingle contest I was intrigued.

This year Folgers is honoring their tradition of helping musicians reach their dreams and has partnered with Grammy nominated country artist Chris young to take their well-known jingle to new heights. The public is invited to put their own spin on the classic Folgers jingle for a chance to win big: $25,000 BIG! There are also smaller prizes up for grabs totaling $10,000.

Check out Chris explaining the contest in this video:

To enter head to the contest page here and upload the best version of your song by February 27 - it must include the complete melody and full jingle: "The best part of wakin' up is Folgers in your cup." Between February 27 - March 19 5 semi-finalists will be chosen who will get to have one-on-one mentoring with Chris; next, from March 27 - April 24 the American public will be able to vote daily for their favorites with each vote counting as an entry for $10,000 worth of prizes. In May one jingle winner selected for the huge $25,000 prize!

Whether you create a jingle or vote daily, Folgers is inspiring us all to get musical and you can learn more by visiting their website as well as checking them out on Facebook and Twitter.
