At Home Spa Party with Zoey Koko

As a little girl some of my earliest memories are of watching my mother do her makeup. She'd let me play in it from time to time and I'd top it off with my own bit of flair - anyone else remember peel off nail polish and stick-on earrings? Now with my own daughter, I see these same memories being replayed in how Nia loves dabbling in my beauty products so I was excited to learn about Zoey Koko, a spa party experience created by Boston-based entrepreneurs Sara and Dahlia.

The workout struggle is real ya'll and I'm determined to find a way to get back on track since we moved. When I first learned about the local Boston craze called Trillfit I was curious if it'd be good fit for me. Easy answer?
It was!
Here are 3 reasons why I think you need to try Trillfit ASAP...

Summer Safety Tips from Boston's Floating Hospital for Children
at
11:16:00 AM
Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Floating Hospital for Children as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.
One of the highlights of living in Boston is our access to some of the best medical care in the world including access to the Floating Hospital for Children. Today I'm partnering with them to share summer safety tips, a topic important to me especially as I have discoid lupus. Thankfully my children do not have it, but making sure they're sun safe is still top priority.

Managing Summer Screen Time with Comcast Xfinity
at

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post on behalf of Comcast. All opinions expressed are my own.
A lot has changed in Boston since I lived here almost 10 years ago and as I approach the 1 year anniversary of my return it was fitting to be down on the Boston Waterfront last week as a guest of Comcast. I was there to learn about their latest Xfinity developments for helping customers manage screen time and online security, something I'm concerned about now that both of my children have devices and the transforming waterfront was the perfect metaphor for all the changes coming to Xfinity.
Here's what's on deck...

How We Create a Patchwork Summer
at
4:25:00 PM
One of my favorite summer pics of the kids |
Around the time of spring break *the* question started rolling around my parenting circles: "What are your kids doing for the summer?" This is often followed by panicking, but I've found that between our travel plans and hosting guests rather than pick a camp for the whole summer, finding a few weekly programs interspersed with weeks of rest have worked great for us.

Today's the Day: I'm Speaking at Mom 2.0!
at
1:22:00 PM
I can't wait to share the experimental full details of my travel logistics once this jaunt is over, but I just arrived in Orlando to speak at Mom 2.0 Summit this afternoon. It seems like it was so long ago that I first won a ticket to attend then was selected to speak. I'm honored to be on the panel "Pivoting: Redefining Your Popular Blog as an Entry Point to a Multifaceted Career" with a few of my favorite bloggers who I feel have "grown up" with me over the years:
I'll be here in Orlando until Saturday so make sure to check out the full schedule of Mom 2.0 here and follow Mom 2.0 on social media Twitter, Facebook, Instagram as well as the hashtag #mom2summit. (I'll have lots more to share over on my Instagram Stories!)

NYC Pick-Me-Up Weekend (& a Winner!)
at
10:04:00 AM
I always love a good NYC-view |
Happy Monday! We've had so many consecutive gray days here in Boston that I was shocked to see the sun peeking in this morning through my bedroom window. Yesterday, was Mr. Lovebird's 36th birthday and we hightailed it back from NYC so he could make his basketball team's championship game last night. It's a co-ed team and a few of the teammates' spouses show up with the kids to support each week. Yesterday the kids even made signs - it was too cute! Sadly Uka's team lost, but it's all in fun.

I'm an admitted low-maintenance mama when it comes to all things beauty and wellness so when LipSense popped up in my feed, as I often do I gave it a quick glance and kept scrolling. Yet people kept raving about it.
Enter my childhood friend and fellow mompreneur, Kara McElree.

5 Perfect Lawn Games for an Urban Yard
at
6:15:00 PM
While we await consistent, warm sunny days here in Boston, one of the main topics of household discussion is our backyard. This is the first time after years of apartment living that we finally have our own private yard and the kids are thrilled! With Grayson turning 3 next month I'm considering a backyard birthday party and reminiscing over my own epic backyard party my parents threw when I turned 6 - it was a pretty big deal.

Welcome May (& a Winner!)
at
11:01:00 AM
We are still holding out for consistent sunny days here in Boston, but excited that summer break starts in a few short weeks. This weekend kept us busy locally with Grayson experiencing his first eye appointment. He was in a separate exam room from his big sister, but had gone with me a few times so was very confident in the experience. Mr. Lovebird captured this shot that keeps cracking me up:
