How is it November? (& a Winner)

It's November 1, but why do I feel like I'll be saying, "Happy New Year" next week? Can you relate?

I took my cuties back to our neighborhood church's annual Trunk or Treat last night and with the (thankfully) mild weather compared to last year, they really enjoyed themselves. I seriously *think* we'll have enough candy at least until Easter!

I know the next 8 weeks are going to be EPIC, and here's a quick rundown of what I'm looking forward to...

What we're reading lately... (full review to come)
VOTING - today there's early voting in my neighborhood so after picking up the kids from school I'll take them with me to vote; I debated going solo but just like last time I think it's important that they see me vote - those early memories mean a lot. I still remember my parents taking me as a kid!

Speaking on the Moms Make it Work Panel - still time to get tickets here to join me at this Saturday's dynamic event in NYC

Nia's straight play debut - in 2nd grade she had her musical debut in The Wizard of Oz, and now she's Lucy in her school's production of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, and I have to admit that I am amazed the rate at which she memorized all her lines so quickly despite not being able to remember when I tell her to pick her roller skates up from the middle of the floor!

Our finished basement
Setting up the kids playroom - since finishing our basement I've been put to the task (through the generosity of Wayfair!) of relocating the kids toys there

(which I'm trying to do before...)

Hosting our 2nd largest Thanksgiving EVER - remember this one and our silly family ussie in New Hampshire???

Visiting my brother in Nashville - we last went down to TN for our Smoky Mountains family getaway a few years ago, but I'm excited to explore his city for the first time over a quick weekend getaway

A Quiet Christmas - this year was my most traveled and I'm thrilled to lay low over the kids' Christmas break; it will be so nice just to enjoy being at home!

Prepping to speak at ALT Oasis '19 - I only did a teaser in my Instagram Stories a couple weeks ago, but I have a full blown post with all kinds of exciting info and a discount code especially for my followers. Stay tuned...

Lastly, I can't sign-off before sharing the winner of my Breathable Baby Momspiration Swaddle Giveaway:

Congrats Lauren! I'll be in touch with you so you can receive your prize!
