10 Things I'm Looking Forward to in 2019 (& a Giveaway)

{Disclosure: this post contains affiliate links.}

Happy 2019! In case you've been wondering where I've been lately look below...

Just kidding! While I watched both Netflix programs and thought each was captivating in its own special way, I'm still side-eying both.

Anyway, each year rather than create resolutions, I like to create a top 10 list of what I'm looking forward to (you can check out last year's list here). If there's anything that I learned from last year's list it's that my expectations were waaaay too low. 2018 was probably the most exciting year for both my business and family lives. It exceeded everything I (cautiously) had hoped would happen and reaffirmed that I need to expand my expectations.

So, with that in mind I present my top ten list for 2019 (stay with me til the end for an AMAZING giveaway)...

1) Not only do I still own quiana.com, but rather than redirect to this blog, it's *this* close to nearing completion hopefully in advance of when I return to...

2) Speaking at Alt Oasis - the 10 year anniversary of Altitude Summit. My topic is Having Impact With Your Influence and builds off last year's session where I debuted www.like2action.com. There's still a chance to snag a ticket here and use my discount code LOVEBIRDS at checkout to save $50. Also, be sure to follow Altitude Summit on Instagram as they often have ticket giveaways!

3) Cruising...again! We're all booked for our next one and can't wait to return here:

Seven Mile Beach

4) Heading to Austin (for the first time!) for Mom 2.0 - I'm especially excited to visit with my Wellesley friend who moved down with her family last year

5) Spending more time on Cape Cod - it's really become a special place for my family; it's where we took our family photo above thanks to my sister Lauren (we also used for our Minted New Year's card!)

6) Our 10th wedding anniversary return to Puerto Rico - this is a looooong time coming as so many of our 60 guests who came to our wedding have been asking over the years when we'll be back. We've been a few times since but missed a year due to the hurricane. It's going to be a good time for sure and we're looking forward to incorporating a community service component as well since there is still work that needs to be done. Also, if you're curious about the current state of affairs in Puerto Rico check this recent NYT piece out.

7) Speaking more - beyond being an officer for my local Toastmasters club, I'm excited to officially sign up with a speakers bureau and utilize my branded Quiana.com website to get more gigs

8) Growing Trifecta Media Group - can't believe this fall marks 5 years of the consulting company I started with my sisters and while it's still been word of mouth we're excited for continued growth and a fully public launch

9) Enforcing my word of the year: Eliminate - I'm trimming the fat in allllll areas and getting rid of time sucks. I'm also not chasing folks anymore. I realized that too many of my relationships are one way relationships and I have to trim those out too. Also, by eliminating certain relationships I'm making room for better relationships per Snoop Dogg. My motto in all areas is to continue to say "No" to things I'm on the fence about so that I can say, "Heck yes!" to the things that are of highest value to me.

And speaking of opportunities I'm reminded of the quote above I posted about in a longer, more detailed post about dealing with disappointment many years ago. I've already seen some cringe-worthy walk-backs in the first few weeks of the year. Instead I keep my head down and focused per this fab reminder my sister sent me (it's SO good, right?!)

{You can see my detailed Facebook Live unboxing here!}

10) Personal development - and this includes working through a lot of the goal-setting and long-term planning that comes as a bonus with using my Day Designer planner. This year also marks my 5th year using it, and to celebrate I'm going to give one Flagship Day Designer away to a lucky reader. This isn't sponsored by Day Designer - it's just me wanting to do it on my own!
