Making Healthy Meals with Farmers to You

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post on behalf of Farmers to You; all opinions expressed are my own.

Despite having lived in cities with amazing farmers markets from the world-famous Union Square Greenmarket to Portsmouth, New Hampshire's community-building farmer's market at City Hall I never quite made them a regular part of my routine with my children. Part of the reason is I know I would lose self control and just get cookies my kids would be begging for things, but I also feel a sense of guilt for not exposing them to it regularly.

When I was invited to try Farmers to You I found it allowed me to bring the farm-to-table experience to my home in a convenient way. In three easy steps you can select curated groceries from New England, place your order and pick up at a location near you.

Farmers to You currently serves Boston and Northern Vermont Areas and it's a business model I look forward to seeing expanding. You can pay an upcharge to have the groceries delivered to you, but I actually liked being able to pick them up.

The pick-up site was actually someone's home and it turns out they had small children too helping their mom hand out the groceries. I appreciated my kids being able to see this experience and see with over time how Farmers to You would foster community relationships.

Here are a few of the delicious meals we made with our Farmers to You groceries:

Spaghetti with meat sauce and arugula (eyes closed means it's good!)
Buffalo Baked Chicken with Roasted Potatoes and Mixed Greens
Bacon and Waffles
