Nia at the High Line

Nia and Mommy at the High Line*
In May Nia and I had a playdate at the High Line, an elevated park on the west side. It's a very unique space with views of the Hudson.

The long, shallow stream

There is a shallow stream that the kids played in. I was a bit skivved out by the germs, but I quickly got over it. Nia was so busy splashing in it that I went ahead and stripped her down to her diaper and let her play (when we got home she had a good bath!).

She went from this:

My baby in her bonnet - LOVE it!*
Needless to say she attracted a crowd!

Here's a video of Nia pursuing her friend, Jerve, at the High Line who is exactly one year older than Nia (almost to the minute!):

I want to go back to the High Line with Mr. Love Bird and Nia now that a new section has opened. Our summer weekends are getting so full, but I think we can sneak it in one Sunday after church.

*Thank you to Jerve's mom, Melinda, for snapping these photos!
