NYC Pick-Me-Up Weekend (& a Winner!)

Happy Monday! We've had so many consecutive gray days here in Boston that I was shocked to see the sun peeking in this morning through my bedroom window. Yesterday, was Mr. Lovebird's 36th birthday and we hightailed it back from NYC so he could make his basketball team's championship game last night. It's a co-ed team and a few of the teammates' spouses show up with the kids to support each week. Yesterday the kids even made signs - it was too cute! Sadly Uka's team lost, but it's all in fun.

Seems like a lot of people are experiencing rainy weather today and we're prepping to drive down to NYC for the weekend (I'm attending Create & Cultivate tomorrow!).

Although we're heading to sunnier climate next week, we're still very much in snow mode here and one of the winter activities I'm excited to get the kids started on is skiing. Grayson was a bit too small to start skiing when we lived in Portsmouth, but this season is perfect timing to introduce him as we still have plenty of winter left here in Boston. When I was pregnant with Grayson I remember how people annoyingly loved sharing their thoughts on the differences between having boys and girls with me. One of the biggest differences was concerning the reported difficulty potty training boys. As a result, I kind of dreaded what was to come with potty training Grayson especially after Nia's experience being so easy.
