I Want to Tour a Sewer

I've discovered an interest in sewers. Let me explain:

It all started when I was researching the wonders of the world for the post on tubeless toilet paper (I realized I didn't know the wonders of the world), then I saw the seven wonders of the industrialized world which included London's sewers. It made me wonder what was so amazing about London's sewer system that I clicked the link and read the history. From there I wondered if anyone had ever compiled a list of sewer history and started thinking about how amazing it is that such a system exists and thankful for the engineers that designed it.

I then came across this website which led me here and now I want to take a tour of Vienna's sewers.

Ever heard of the Great Stink? Excerpt from Wikipedia:

"...in 1815 house waste was permitted to be carried to the Thames via the sewers, so for seven years human waste was dumped into the Thames and then potentially pumped back to the same households for drinking, cooking and bathing."

Ummm, yeah. I'm thankful to be living in the 21st century.

{I know this was one of the strangest posts ever, but this is the way my mind works! I'm a very random and curious person.}
