#BTSStyle with Momtrends

Disclosure: I was invited to Momtrends' BTS Style event and received a gift bag. I was not required to write this post and all opinions expressed are my own.

Four weeks from today my Lil Lovebird starts full time preschool, and when I was recently invited to Momtrends' BTS Style event I was thrilled to enter the realm of back-to-school readiness! Growing up I remember being SO annoyed when BTS commercials started in July - it was just.plain.rude. Of course now as a mom I have a different perspective especially seeing all the fun BTS trends in market. Take a look!

This special event was hosted at Freshmade NYC's studio - a gorgeous space which specializes in healthy cooking parties for kids. There were so many fun brands on hand and delicious treats too (recipes are on Freshmade's website)!

Avon

See my red lips? That was courtesy of Paul, from Avon - he gave so many amazing quick tips for moms looking fab on the go. I'm so glad mom's look wasn't left out of the BTS conversation! With such juicy lips I tend to shy away from bright colors, but Paul assured me as long as I keep it matte when it comes to super bright colors I'm fine. Whew! Also, as I shared in my recent 5 Minute Face video, I really don't have a lot of time to make up my face, but I do find throwing on an awesome lip color really does help, and I appreciated Paul's confirmation on this. We were given a few products to take home and so far their lip gloss has been fab - I highly recommend it!

Ebates

A few of our fellow bloggers sported their finds via Ebates - I've always been curious to try it as I love online shopping and now knowing how it works I'll definitely be checking it out! So many amazing deals to be had and nothing's wrong with getting cash back for purchases you're going to make anyway.

Funny Face

I was familiar with Funny Face cranberries already, and it was great to see how they used their cranberries in their oatmeal cookies and trail mix - they were highly addictive! I brought some home to share and they were gone in minutes. Good stuff! These are great after-school snacks on their own or for incorporating into baked goods and salads. They come in a variety of fun flavors too!

Learn with Homer

This app was such fun with a range of activities to get kids excited about reading and phonics. Music is incorporated into this high quality app and while it's only available for iPhone I'm counting down to when it's available for Android too.

MadPax

This was probably the most fun product and founder I've ever met! Pat, the creator and fellow mom, wanted to have a backpack for her kids that stood out and played into their obsession with dinosaurs. Well she has a hit! All the bright colors and textures of MadPax backpacks are sure to make your kids feel unique at school - I even want to wear one!

Magnum Ice Cream

The Good Humor mini-truck was on hand to pass out delicious treats including Magnum Ice Cream. These bars show up on my social media feeds frequently so I was really excited to finally give one a try, and I wasn't disappointed. They are SO good! I look forward to having them again as a yummy treat.

Office Candy

I'm a sucker for pretty office supplies, and I enjoyed seeing what Office Candy has to offer. The team explained they're quite popular with the college set and with moms as they organize their families in a fun, expressive way!

Lil Lovebird was so excited when I brought the gift bag home, especially for her MadPax backpack; thank you Momtrends for such a fun night!

How are you preparing for BTS? Do you get excited for all the shiny, new school supplies like I do?
