Happy Spring & Baby Agbai Report: 27 Weeks

Celebrating my 5th wedding anniversary (early!) in Puerto Rico; Beach Sun Wrap and Beach Sun Hat compliments of Coolibar

I was hoping to publish this update yesterday but was running from 6a.m. to 6p.m. (especially because of this special TV appearance I have coming up!). Anyway, on to the Baby Agbai 2.0 Report:

How far along: 27 weeks

How big is baby: (from 3DPregnancy.com) Baby’s lungs and immune system are maturing this week as baby prepares for his grand entrance. If he were born today he would have an 85 percent chance of surviving as his lungs are capable of breathing air (with medical assistance, of course). Other exciting developments:

Baby’s done a lot of growing over the past few months. His length has more than doubled in the past 15 weeks! And that’s not the only thing growing—baby’s brain tissue and neurons are all developing at a rapid pace. His brain waves are now firing away just like those of a newborn baby. If baby is a he, his testes will have completely descended at this point.

Your baby now weighs in at approximately 14½ inches and just over 2 pounds, or about the size of that roast you made last time your in-laws were in town. (OK, the baby is the size of that roast you meant to cook before you decided that ordering Chinese was a much better idea.)

Stretch Marks: Same old stretch marks

Sleep: Restless legs have kicked in. Ughhhh.

Best Moment This Week: Sunning in Puerto Rico

Movement: Activity has picked up a lot; baby boy is flipping and flopping all over

Sex of the Baby: Still a boy; don't think I'll have another ultrasound this pregnancy

Food Craving: Still loving salty and sour; Mexican food gives me LIFE!

Belly Button In or Out: Still out and Nia's really taken to pointing and laughing at it now O_o

What I Miss: Being able to walk fast when I attempt to pound the NYC pavement

What I'm Looking Forward To: Getting my maternity/family photo shoot pics back; getting warmer weather (hopefully!)

Milestone: The maternity photo shoot especially since we hadn't done one the first time and Lord willing this is the last time I'll be pregnant
