My Peter Rabbit Movie Garden Party

Disclosure: I received samples to facilitate this review in partnership with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment; all opinions expressed are my own.

This was my 9th Mother's Day and if there's anything I've learned is that there's nothing wrong with making your own day special. When a special Peter Rabbit Movie surprise arrived for me and my family I knew it'd be perfect for a Mother's Day Garden Party. We had seen the movie in the theater when it was first released and absolutely loved it so when I set up everything for my kids to see they were so excited!

There were plenty of garden goodies sent over from World Market perfectly timed as we get our raised beds going again this season including seed cards, watering can, tote bag and adorable plates. I set the kids up to watch Peter Rabbit while I got everything organized. I grew up reading Beatrix Potter, and I love the new adaptation; the cutest was hearing Grayson giggle while watching Peter's naughty antics!

My husband asked if I'd be making our Garden Party lunch from scratch and I gave a resounding, "No!" Not on Mother's Day weekend. I took the easy way out and picked up some fare for us at Whole Foods: sandwiches, chips, lemonade and pastries. We had fruit on hand at home so I cut some up and we were good to go!

Grayson took right to the bunny ears even greeting an unexpected visitor who knocked on our door during our lunch. It gave us a good laugh - he's our own little Peter Rabbit.
