Promoting Kids' Brain Health with Vitamin Friends Just Focus Vegan Gummies

As an 80s baby I still remember the chalky taste of my morning vitamin each school day - they somehow seemed like a treat to me. Fast forward to now as a mom of a 4 and 8 year old and there are so many more options available. My kids have become self-appointed vitamin connoisseurs!

When Vitamin Friends reached out for me to try their Just Focus Vegan Gummies I was curious to know what my kids would think of them. They were very straightforward in their opinions and like any good mom, I tried them too!

Here are our thoughts...

We love that they don't stick to your teeth - this was a major issue for me converting to gummy vitamins. I've read extensively how awful they can be for kids' teeth. A daily dosage is 2 vitamins, although it's recommended to take 6 gummies per day for 21 days to start. 

I like that they're vegan - made of pectin and with organic ingredients including cane sugar (3g of sugar total per serving), I was confident giving these to my kids. Although we're not vegan, I appreciate the higher standard given to vegan products. 

They contain Phosphatidylserine (PS) - this is the "Just Focus" part of the vitamins. There's enough information out there on PS for you to do your own research, but it's been linked to improved cognition and brain focus. It doesn't hurt to try it for a boost and the daily dosage of 2 gummies keeps the PS level at a safe amount - I wouldn't go up to the 6 gummies per day recommendation because of my own research on that, but definitely check it out for yourself and make your own decision. 

We're divided on taste - this is where I lost my kids! I thought the taste was fine - slightly sweet and didn't leave an aftertaste. However, after one try my kids refused them the next day. I know kids can be fickle too so I plan to re-introduce them again.
