My kids have been going since they were toddlers and seeing their excitement of getting a Chuck E. Cheese's invitation is a joy that brings back waves of nostalgia for me. Now that my kids are getting older they are also getting more vocal about their birthday plans.
My kids and I have differing reasons for why we like birthday parties at Chuck E. Cheese's so I thought it'd be fun to make a combo-list:
Kid Reason #1: They get to see their school friends - My 5 year old expressed sadness during the school year that his party was lumped into the others for a group summer celebration; having his own party at Chuck E. Cheese's gives him the chance to reunite with his school buddies and partake in all the fun and games without the rules of the classroom.
Mom Reason #2: Parties at Chuck E. Cheese's are *so* turnkey - With a variety of packages for parties of all sizes as well as the one stop shopping from invitations to food and activities, parties at Chuck E. Cheese's are just so easy! Plus it saves the worry of tracking the unpredictable weather and having to come up with a back-up plan. Did you know that if you plan a party on a Saturday or Sunday there's also a VIP option to book your birthday party celebration and get access to Chuck E. Cheese's one hour before it opens to the public?
Kid Reason #3: Chuck E. Cheese is just plain fun - I always joke that I can never tell my kids in advance that we're heading to Chuck E. Cheese's since they'd harass me daily leading up to it about when we're going! Seeing their excitement as we pull into the parking lot and enter the doors of Chuck E. Cheese's is always adorable. They start beaming and bouncing!
Mom Reason #4: Clean, Safe & Secure - We've visited quite a few Chuck E. Cheese's facilities over the years and have always found them to be tidy and well maintained. I especially appreciate the the check-in/check-out security stamp system which helps me feel confident having my kids in the play space.
Kid Reason #5: All You Can Play ROCKS - Gone are the days of tokens we grew up with. Instead kids enjoy using their easy All You Can Play cards that allows them to simply tap on the games and get started playing. They're timed to last the duration of the party making it really easy for the kids to pack in as many games as they can. And yes, they can still redeem them for prizes - my kids always end up getting candy!
