Our Family's Boston Globe Feature

This past Friday, October 23 my family was included in the Boston Globe's "In the Family Way" feature showcasing how 3 local families are currently coping given all that's going on. In it I shared a day-in-the-life including what it's like balancing remote and hybrid learning for Grayson and Nia, respectively, as well as managing with Uka recovering from surgery.

Thankfully, we're OK, but in the past few days with all the outpouring of support and feedback from the piece it's reinforced how important it is to keep sharing our stories with one another. That's exactly why I started Harlem Lovebirds 11 years ago this month - it was an extension of my written journal I had kept since I was 7 years old. I intend to keep sharing, albeit, more so on Instagram!

You can read the original feature on the Globe's website here as well as here, without a paywall on the "In the Family Way" newsletter.

I must give a big shoutout to Leah of City Living (Boston) who brought this opportunity my way - thank you!

P.S. I've updated my recent "Where I've Been" post to include this feature; check it out for other places I've been invited to share my voice in the past few months.
