Introducing Kidoodle.TV: Parent-Controlled, Child-Approved

Disclosure: I participated in a Blog Blast program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kidoodle.TV. I received a promotional item and a free trial as a thank you for participating.

We're a cable-free household, but are fans of on-demand TV so when I was invited to try Kidoodle.TV, a new on-demand TV viewing platform built for kids (not aimed at them!), I knew it would be a good fit for our family.

Enjoying her favorite Kidoodle.TV show: Jacob Two Two
We've been using Kidoodle.TV for a week and Nia is a serious fan, and I am too!

Here are my favorite features:
  • Parental Control Room - while the default set-up recommends shows by age the parent is still able to edit the programming line-up picking younger or older shows if wanted as well as blocking some of the recommended programs; for those with more children you can also create and manage up to 5 accounts

  • Easy to Navigate - the main screen that Nia views from is very simple for her to operate on her own; it has bright colors, captures her attention and she is very independent using the app especially being in control of her shows (she even watched the same Jacob Two Two episode about 3x in a row despite me trying to show her others!)

  • No advertising - this is one of the reasons why we abandoned cable and even while other online streaming options sometimes have pop-up ads, I have to say Kidoodle.TV really is fantastic about this; everything is child-appropriate!
Try Kidoodle.TV for FREE and enter by December 31, 2013 to win 1 of 10 tablets or 1 of 10 Kidoodle.TV year-long subscriptions by going to their website to sign up for a free trial. Follow the on-screen directions and submit!
