Mama's Time Out with Vitabath Spice is Nice

Disclosure: I received Vitabath to facilitate this review; all opinions expressed are my own.

Growing up in a family of 6 I was used to military-style showers: a minute to soap up and a minute to rinse. Now as a mom I find it's pretty much the same. I rarely have time for a leisurely shower, but meeting Vitabath at Getting Gorgeous this past summer made me want to change that. Their scents are luscious and just in time for Christmas I gave their Spice is Nice body wash and lotion set a try.

With its blend of pumpkin, allspice, rum and maple syrup topped with cream cheese icing, the truth is it makes me want to eat it! I've been averse to sweet smelling bath scents in the past, but Spice is Nice has turned out to be a special treat for me. Initially I was concerned if it'd be effective on my skin. I get really dry skin especially when temperatures drop (it's often in the 20s here already!) and so far the body wash and the lotion have kept my skin hydrated. I'm used to most lotion feeling watery when it hits my skin, but Vitabath actually feels like silk. The best part is that it's chock full of antioxidants like acai, goji and manogsteen and vitamins including vitamins A, B3 and E plus it's free of parabens and sulfates.

Of course kids can't let moms keep nice things to themselves and Nia quickly got wind of my yummy Spice is Nice body wash. The body wash also doubles as bubble bath so I've been letting her use it too - she approves especially because "it smells like cookies."

If you want to get your own set of Spice is Nice or stock up for next season's gifts, now is the time: it's only $9.95 on clearance (regular price $21.50)! To purchase click here. There are also several other special holiday scents on sale including Sweet Vanilla Amber, another one of my faves (my sister even admitted to sneaking some of the lotion off my counter when she visited during Thanksgiving!).

How do you treat yourself during the busy holiday season? Are you a usual 2-minute showerer like me?
