Music plays an important role in our home: we have my childhood piano, and Nia's been taking lessons since she was 3 years old, and Grayson's in his first semester of Music Together loves it.
From birth I've played Raffi's Pandora station on heavy rotation and my kids adore his music - I sing along too, especially to Baby Beluga! Nia's spring concert even had a Raffi theme:
When I learned about Raffi's new album Owl Singalong I was excited for my kids to listen to it. As you know we're prone to epic dance parties! Owl Singalong features 16 new songs and the title track is inspired by the owls near Raffi's home on Salt Spring Island in Canada. Here's a preview of the single Green Dream from the album:
Mine and Nia's favorite track is Abiyoyo - it's actually the classic Pete Seeger story. Anyone else remember it on Reading Rainbow as a kid? It was one of my favorite episodes, and I'm thrilled that Nia loves it so much - she asked to hear it 3x in a row! Grayson's favorite song on the album is Dog on the Bus - he really likes making all the animal sounds although according to him most animals growl O_o
