My Cheeky Days Podcast Feature: Diving into Diversity

In February, when I spoke at Altitude Summit, I had the privilege of meeting Elizabeth of Cheeky Days who describes her blog as a meeting place and resource for courage, kindness, curiosity, and joy.

I love how Elizabeth has a heart for creating community and expresses this through her mindful subscription box company for kids: Outside the Box. I was honored when Elizabeth reached out to me to be her first guest on the newly launched Cheeky Days podcast.

You can find it on iTunes here. Here's the summary of our discussion:

"We’re diving into our first conversation on diversity with Quiana Agbai from @harlemlovebirds and we delve into the various aspects of diversity and how we can begin exposing our Littles to diversity from books, to tactile experiences, to foundational conversations, to getting involved in community, to the importance of libraries and librarians, to pushing past the uncomfortable, and exploring diversity beyond black and white! Plus we give 3 (or maybe even 5) ways we can start diving into diversity with our Littles today!"

As I shared in my Quiana in Action post, I've been focusing on getting from behind the screen and having courageous conversations like this. Looking ahead I'm thrilled to be included on a Racial Justice panel this weekend at my alma mater Wellesley College's reunion discussing my activism journey and resources for inspiring others.

What are some of your favorite podcasts lately? Please share - I'm always looking for new ones!
