A Nautically Inspired Spring by Wayfair

As we've just celebrated my family's second spring in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, I'm still feeling as though we're on some type of coastal vacation living here. It's a gorgeous town that I can't help Instagramming, and this spring while our trees have yet to fully blossom, I'm feeling inspired by the warm sun that fills our fishbowl windows and the brightly painted buildings in downtown Portsmouth.


I've created a Wayfair idea board to bring you a few of my favorite nautical accents to add to your home this spring. From throw pillows, to side tables, I find it's easier to swap out a few items seasonally, brightening colors as the seasons get warmer, than it is to overhaul each room of my home.

I was drawn to calming shades of blue as I selected pieces for my idea board envisioning the rug replacing our darker colored one in the family room, the model boat atop our piano and the lamp in mine and my husband's shared office.
